Welcome (almost) summer, 2008! The weather is getting warm here in sunny Florida but the breeze is still pleasant enough to make me wish I lived closer to the beach (as though an hour is not enough!).
God is good and life is sometimes a struggle and God is good! (Don't you love those bookends?) If there is anything I have learned in the past six months, that is it. I hope you can rest in that as well, no matter where you are in life.

What a blessing! After taking several months off from speaking I flew to the west coast of our beautiful and inspiring country. I landed in Medford, Oregon, was picked up by two ladies who then drove me through breathtaking vistas through northern CA and back to the southern coast of Oregon (Brookings).

Update From My Desk
I am excited about three books about to be released.
1. Reflections of God's Holy Land; A Personal Journey Through Israel will be released in August by Thomas Nelson/Nelson Bibles. This has been the book of my heart for years! Please take a moment to check it out. Cowritten with Miriam Feinberg Vamosh.
2. The Potluck Catering Club: The Secret's In the Sauce will be released in August by Baker Publishing Group/Revell. Yep, the girls of the Potluck Club are at it again in a whole new series! Cowritten with Linda Evans Shepherd.
3. Word Weavers: The Story of a Successful Writers Critique Group by Winepress Publishing. After years of being asked about the success of Word Weavers (of which I was president of for six years), I decided to put the words in my mouth on paper. Cowritten with Janice Elsheimer.
Let Us Pray
You recently prayed for my family as we were going through legal and medical crises. Thank you! Your prayers were heard and God moved mightily. Now, would you pray for a little girl named Evie. She is only three and has brain cancer. She is, indirectly, a member of our extended family. I don't know her personally, but my heart is torn over her medical issues and for the peace of your mother, father, and grandparents, etc.
